Children¡¯s recall memory by configuration task

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to test children¡¯s recall memory by delayed interval(1-wk VS 10-wk) according to configuration task. The subjects were made up of four aged 3 years and fifty-seven ranging from 4 to 6 years(total 57). The test tool was M-shaped configuration task by Piaget & Inhelder(1973) In Present study a hypothesis was proposed. The Hypothesis was to testify the effect of delayed interval (1-wk, 10-wk). The result of the present is as follow : children¡¯s recall memory was higer thanduring the time for 10-wk delayed than 1-wk. There was a considerable progress in recall between the 1-wk and 10-wk based on the equilibration of the schemata. The long interval help the development of the underlying operational schema and hence improves mnemonic recall. This result can be applied to the instruction learning method for young children.
